1461 Squadron staff come from a variety of backgrounds. Most of our staff are former cadets, others are parents of cadets who were impressed by the opportunities on offer and decided to help out.

| Flt Lt Weston is the commanding officer (CO) of the squadron, and has overall responsibility for ensuring the squadron meets its targets and provides the best possible experience for the cadets. Clive spent 29 years in regular RAF service, retiring as a Chief Technician, an engineering specialist. |
Pilot Officer
Pete Reid | |
| Plt Off Reid is the Squadron Training Officer, responsible for the programme of activities. He is also the shooting officer, conducting live firing exercises and weapon training as well as adventure training activities. |
Flying Officer

| Flg Off Mann is the Squadron Adjutant, responsibile for all paperwork and administration on the unit, as well as being an adventure training instructor. |
Sergeant
Aaron Davis | |
| Sgt Davis is the Squadron SNCO, responsible to the CO for discipline, drill and dress. |
Pilot Officer
David Shuttleworth | |
| Plt Off Shuttleworth is responsible for recruit training and radio exercises. He previously spent 18 years in regular RAF service as an RAF Policeman, retiring at the rank of Corporal. |
Civilian Instructor
Steve Spencer | |
| Mr Spencer is in charge of aero modelling and aircraft recognition. |

| Sgt Harrison is a first aid instructor. |

Rosie Glenister | |
| Mrs Glenister is the Squadron Sports Officer, responsible to the CO for preparing cadets for the numerous wing sports trials and competitions, as well as providing fun opportunities to compete. Mrs Glenister is a keen hockey player and also teaches aspects of the academic syllabus. |
Civilian Instructor
Richard Docherty | |
| Mr Docherty is a qualified mechanical engineer and manages the Squadron's engineering projects and teaches the Propulsion syllabus of the Senior Cadet exam. |
